Sikkenga Farms, Whitemouth, MB
Sikkenga Farms, in Whitemouth, MB, has decided to embrace the future of dairy farming. They have installed three DeLaval VMS - voluntary  milking systems. They have also upgraded their feeding system with a DeLaval ALPRO management system.

VMS Multi-purpose robotic arm
The multi-purpose robotic arm duplicates the agility and precision of the human arm. The arm finds teats and attaches teat cups with amazing precision, due to sensors on the arm which allow it to see what it is doing and adjust to each cow. It can even handle teats at odd angles.

VMS - a system, not just milking!
The VMS is more than a milking - it automation for the whole dairy system. This includes cooling, hygiene and herd management.

Intelligent Gate System
The gate system into the VMS is designed to to allow only one cow in the VMS unit at a time. The gates are strong to ensure so they can handle years of maintenance free operation.

Happy and Productive cows - the aim of Sikkenga Farms and VMS!
By choosing the VMS system, Sikkenga Farms has chosen a system that encourages high cow throughput, herd welfare and milk production. Truly the keys to embracing a long and prosperous future.
