Welcome to the Rempel Farms Photo Gallery!
This is the third farm in Manitoba to be milking with the DeLaval VMS. (Robots) We at TriStar are very excited to have installed the VMS at this farm and hopefully you can get a chance to see them in the next couple months. This image is showing a new milk house/office area that we built on to the existing barn.

Here are the plate coolers used in the instant cooling system for the robot farms.

In this image the installation is very close to completion and milking with the robots started on February 26, 2007.

Here is their new DeLaval 2700 gallon milk tank. This tank is equipped with front mount washing controls.

Shown in this image is the utility room built within the new milk house/office area. This room houses most of the equipment needed to operate the VMS including washing & cooling equipment & both vacuum pumps for the robots. Once again, a picture perfect installation completed by the fully trained robotic install crew from TriStar.

And here is where the magic happens! A nice view of one of the robots through a window in the office area. The robots at Rempel farms are placed individually in each corner of the free stall barn. This creates two separate groups of cows. Each robot farm has a different layout according to the design of the freestall barn.

This TriStar employee is working very hard to complete some final touches for this installation. Once finished, every milking cow will be trained and milked through the VMS.

Here is another look at the utility room built within the new milk house. This image shows some of the washing components and a closer view of the small vacuum pumps needed to run the robots.

Here is another great view of one of the robots. This picture was taken while some stainless covers were removed giving a great view to some working components of the robot. Some components shown are the MM25 milk meters used to individually meter each quarter of the cow. Also shown is the same MPC and pulsators used in all of our DeLaval milking parlours.

Shown here is the hydraulically driven arm used to attach the milker units on to the cow. This arm is guided by a inferred camera to make sure the units are accurately placed on the cow’s udder.

There is other crucial components on the farm that were also placed inside the new milkouse/office/utility room area. One component that TriStar uses in a lot of the new barns we build is Meuller cooling equipment such as the condensing unit shown here.

In this image you can see the cow's view of the robot. This area is just as important as the front. The fencing and gate work has to be correct for cow flow and cow comfort. TriStar together with DeLaval can provide the most comfortable, durable equipment on the market so that your cows can be milked with ease for years to come.

Once again, a small close up view of some washing components placed near the robots. There may be more images from Rempel Farms in the weeks to follow so keep checking the website. For now this will give you a good idea what the DeLaval VMS (voluntary milking system) can do for you. Another very happy customer that chose TriStar for all of their dairy equipment & supplies.
