To all Manitoba Dairy Producers

As a result of the recent Milk Quality Seminars that the DFM hosted around the province, producer interest in monitoring SCC levels has increased.

TriStar has fielded many inquiries on DeLaval’s Direct Cell Counter (DCC), a portable unit that accurately measures the SCC level in a milk sample. This unit has been tested against provincial labs, and is field proven.

In addition, you will obtain your results in under one minute, at less cost per sample, than going through the existing process of sending samples away.

The DeLaval DCC has a retail price of $4,900, and an addition per sample cassette cost of $3.50.

TriStar has bulk purchased the DCC from DeLaval, enabling us to offer the unit at a reduced price of $3,900. (Perhaps a neighboring dairyman may do a joint-purchase with you.)

TriStar will further offer to finance the DCC over a 24 month term at 0% int., resulting in 24 monthly payments of $162.50 (a $50 admin. fee will apply).

TriStar will also be renting the DCC out on a 24 hr period basis, for $165 per period. You will have to purchase the sample cassettes separately.

In the event that the few samples you require do not justify any of the above options, bring in your samples & TriStar will test them while you wait, at a cost of $8.00 per sample.
